The clients wanted a traditional aesthetic to the 'branding' of their wedding, with script typefaces and ornate details as influences.
The focus of the project was to create the wedding website, where guests could RSVP and select dietary requirements, and find all of the information for the destination wedding. including FAQs. The couple wanted to ensure that guest travel arrangements were as easy as possible, so we laid out the itineraries, travel options and accommodation options, with photos, average prices and booking links.
We understand how important it is for brides and grooms to make sure liaison with guests goes smoothly, and that expectations (such as child-free celebrations and no-phone ceremonies) are clearly laid out. The beauty of a wedding website for guests is the ability to streamline all of this communication, keep all RSVPs and responses in the site CMS, and remove the stress of repeating the same conversations endlessly!
Branding, website and illustration
The wedding branding is a complete expression of delicate, elegant visuals tied with Italian references inspired by the Tuscan destination. With the blue's in the colour palette pre-selected by the bride for wedding decorations, we fleshed it out with neutral tones to accompany the accent colours.
We designed and built the website as one singular page with an anchor menu to create flow through the site, as opposed to multiple pages that would break-up the 'experience'. This was illustrated by Italian-inspired graphics and subtle gradients, while designing each section with it's own composition.
Originally a more technical-looking drawing, the hand-drawn villa illustration of the wedding venue developed into a romantic, sketch-style image to accompany the graceful aesthetic.
